Copy of Guarneri del Gesu Artists: Peter White and Ken Keppeler Instrument Number: 230 Year: 2009 Description: This violin was made using a form from Guarneri del Gesu. The f-holes, however, are patterned after those of Samuel Zygmuntovich. The varnish is a beautiful, golden-brown. Copy of Titian Stradivarius Violin Artist: Peter White Instrument Number: 229 Year: 2009 Description: This violin was made using a form from S. Sacconi. The f-holes, however, are made in the style of Sam Zygmuntovich. The varnish is a beautiful, warm brown with red accents. The one-piece back has deep refraction and flame. Copy of Illustrated Amati Violin Artists: Peter White and Cedra Wood Instrument Number: 228 Year: 2008 Description: This violin is a copy of an Andrea Amati violin from about 1560. It is called Il Portuguese. The violin is slightly smaller than most Italian violins but it has a wonderful tone. The fingerboard is finished with maple around all sides. On the original, the back and sides were illustrated for King Charles IX, of France. Artist Cedra Woods faithfully reproduced the illustrations as they now appear.
